Karma Healing Journeys

Karma Healing Journeys

The Indian Himalayas are the ultimate destination for a journey of the spirit – the kind of journey that is as much about inner growth and healing as it is about traveling through the mountains.

The Himalayas have a magic and majesty like no other place. Yogis, pilgrims and seekers have approached these mountains and valleys for millennia in search of wisdom and a sense of greater connection to life.

Using our own intimate knowledge of the Indian Himalayas and in partnership with the best local guides we are looking forward to launching Karma Healing Journeys once travel opens up again. These will be insider experiences like no other.

Different journeys are likely to include:

  • Ladakh
  • Sikkim and Darjeeling
  • Himachal Pradesh

Stay tuned.

Healthy Body, Healthy Mind translation project - Translating the Dalai Lama's teachings on health and wellbeing

Healthy Body, Healthy Mind translation project

Over the course of his lifetime His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama has given many teachings on health and wellbeing. Now a major project, Healthy Body, Healthy Mind, is translating 113 of these historically and culturally important teachings from Tibetan into English, giving English speakers access to this wisdom for the first time.

The foremost school of Tibetan Medicine – the Men-Tse-Khang in Dharamsala, India – has initiated the project and is working with Tibetan researchers and translators of the highest callibre to carry out this exciting work.

The Karma Healing Centre is honoured to be a part of this project. English language editing is based at Karma Healing and led by Julie Marron, former editor in the Research and Translations Department of the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives in Dharamsala, India.

The first five translations were launched in 2019 to mark the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Men-Tse-Khang in Lhasa, Tibet.

Invitation to participate

Editors or individuals with excellent and adaptable English language skills are invited to join the Adelaide editing team. Familiarity with Tibetan Buddhism would be very useful. The work is voluntary and flexible. Since this is a long-term project you are able to join the team at any time. Interested parties are invited to get in touch.
